WAVE integration tips

WAVE Onboarding and TRBOnet Plus Setup:
- Before add of WAVE on Cloud to TRBOnet Plus the connection parameters stated in "Service API FQDN", "Client ID" and "Client Secret" in "Onboarding details for <Company Name>" mail from Motorola.
- These parameters will be used in TRBOnet Server configurator to add WAVE system.
- To add WAVE PTX to TRBOnet Plus in TRBOnet Plus Server configurator go to Radio Systems -> Add -> WAVE PTX Universal Gateway.
- Specify the "Service API FQDN", "Client ID" and "Client Secret".
- Click Test to populate the "Agency".
- Apply settings.
Location profiles for different WAVE devices:
- ION devices have access to both Broadband and LMR Networks, hence Mixed mode is required.
- ION devices must have "Mixed mode" setting in "Channel priority" of Location Profile.
- WAVE PTX \ WAVE TLK \ EVOLVE have access to Broadband Network only, hence Broadband mode is required.
- WAVE PTX \ WAVE TLK \ EVOLVE devices must have "Broadband" setting in "Channel priority" of Location Profile.
Adding WAVE Subscribers to TRBOnet Plus:
- In TRBOnet Dispatch Console go to Administration -> Radios -> Unregistered.
- Find the WAVE Subscriber with populated "WAVE ID" (WAVE ID will vary).
- Register the device specifying correct Radio ID and Location profile.
Common issues:
Issue: WAVE device is not appearing in Dispatch console -> Administration -> Radios -> Unregistered.Solution: Contact TRBOnet support whether subscription is accepted and devices list is sent. If it is not - contact Motorola support to recheck whether the Onboarding process was completed correctly.
Issue: Call from any WAVE subscriber received under same Radio ID.
Solution: Contact Motorola support to check whether each WAVE subscriber is set with correct individual Radio ID.
Issue: GPS reports are not available or not stable.
Solution: Create a separate Location profile for WAVE subscribers as described in "Location profiles for different WAVE devices" section.
Note!
Default Accuracy filter is set to 50 meters, it could be that the device location accuracy is worse than 50 meters, try to increase the parameter or switch off the filter.

Issue: Group calls from TRBOnet are not reaching WAVE subscribers.
Solution: NAI Voice option must be enabled in TRBOnet.
Issue: Private calls from TRBOnet are not reaching WAVE subscribers.
Solution: NAI Voice option must be enabled in TRBOnet, Confirmed Private call setting must be disabled.
Note!
If the WAVE subscriber is registered within Broadband system by default, the Private call through Radio system is not possible as WAVE has Data only feature.
To have it registered in Radio system to allow Private call, NAI Data and MNIS\DDMS must be configured for the Radio system and TRBOnet.
ION devices have access to both LMR and Broadband Networks hence they can register in the radio system via LMR Network.
If the WAVE subscriber is registered within Broadband system by default, the Private call through Radio system is not possible as WAVE has Data only feature.
To have it registered in Radio system to allow Private call, NAI Data and MNIS\DDMS must be configured for the Radio system and TRBOnet.
ION devices have access to both LMR and Broadband Networks hence they can register in the radio system via LMR Network.
Issue: TRBOnet Text messages are not reaching WAVE Subscribers. WAVE subscribers Text messages not reaching TRBOnet.
Solution: There is no WAVE API for Text transmissions available currently. Text messages are not supported.
