The Voice Recording tool available in TRBOnet Switch CPS allows you to retrieve call recordings from the radio and listen to them using the TRBOnet Player in TNA format.
TNA format, is a proprietary audio format that contains additional information about radio calls, such as radio ID, start time, end time, and other parameters. It can be played with TRBOnet Player only.

Feature requires enabled "Synchronize time with TRBOnet Server" and/or "Synchronize time with GNSS" (requires Location license) in Swift Logic:

Records are received directly from Motorola Radio and encoded by the Radio with AMBE codec.
Only Digital transmissions are recorded as they are encoded with AMBE codec.
Analog transmissions are not encoded with AMBE codec, hence not recorded.

1 hour of AMBE encoded transmissions utilize about 1 MB of storage on Option Board.
Considering this information:
  • Motorola GOB is limited to about 5-6 hours of voice records.
  • Current Swift ST002m option board, the amount of memory for voice records is limited to 512 MB. About 500 hours.
  • Previous generation of Swift ST002 (not "m" version, with external SD card) option board, the amount of memory for voice records is limited to 256 MB. About 250 hours.
