The Windows Authentication login mode allows dispatchers to log in to the dispatch console using their Windows user accounts (Active Directory or local Workgroup accounts).
When the console starts, it reads the currently logged-in Windows username and attempts to match it to a Dispatcher account stored in the database.
• If a match is found, access is granted.
• If no match exists, access is denied.
Requirements
TRBOnet does not support LDAP user import. Active Directory users cannot be imported automatically.
1. All dispatcher user accounts must be created manually in TRBOnet by an administrator.
2. If a Windows username is renamed (e.g., in Active Directory), a new Dispatcher entry must be created in TRBOnet with the updated name.
3. Only the username is matched. Passwords are not stored in TRBOnet when using Windows Authentication.
For additional configuration details, see section "Dispatchers" in the TRBOnet User Manual.
The latest version of the manual is available on the Technical Documentation page.
