This feature allows users to operate any radio under their own identity. It is useful for shift-based environments: a user takes any radio, enters their credentials, and signs in. The dispatcher then sees the user's name instead of the radio ID.

Radio Configuration

In the radio codeplug:

  1. Open General Settings
  2. Enable Sign In / Sign Out

Console Configuration

  1. Go to Administration → Users
  2. Click Add to create a user

Set Login, Password, and Display Name (shown in the console)

Specify which radios the user can take, or enable Allow all radios

If Lock radio on return is enabled, the radio will lock after sign-out

Enable Allow Sign In / Sign Out management

Set the Take radio password (must match the password from General tab)

Optional: enable Send notification to a radio after taken/returned to send a TMS message on sign-in/out
