Customizing SIP Sound Announcements

Before making any changes create a backup of all WAV files you plan to modify.

You can customize SIP sound announcements by editing the WAV files using any third-party audio editor.

For reference the SIP_Announcements.zip archive includes example WAV files with reduced volume (50 percent and 25 percent).

File Locations

Enterprise: C:\ProgramData\Neocom Software\TRBOnet.Enterprise\SIP

Plus: C:\ProgramData\Neocom Software\TRBOnet Plus\SIP

Edit Audio Files

1. Open the WAV file in any audio editor.

2. Adjust the required parameters such as peak, volume, or fade.

3. Save the file in WAV format using PCM / 8000 Hz and the same file name as the original.

Apply Custom Files

1. Stop the Server service before applying changes.

2. Place the edited WAV files in the directory for your edition (Enterprise or Plus).

Files must use PCM / 8000 Hz and retain the original file names.

Telephony Sounds

You can also customize audio files used by the Telephony interface such as Ringing and RingingOffline.

Enterprise: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Neocom Software\TRBOnet.Enterprise\Sounds

Plus: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Neocom Software\TRBOnet Plus\Sounds

Replace with the current Windows user name.
