SAMU: The Biggest MOTOTRBO system in Latin America!

Recently NewTech Radiocommunication has completed the biggest MOTOTRBO installation in Latin America with SAMU, the Emergency Medical Assistance Service of Sau Paulo, Brazil.

This system consists of

  • 371 mobile radios in ambulance vehicules
  • 83 portable radios
  • 6 repeaters, 12 voice channels
  • TRBOnet Enterprise 2.5 and 24 Dispatcher Consoles


12 control stations are connected to one PC with installed TRBOnet Enterprise Radio Sever software. The dispatchers have only desktop PC with installed TRBOnet Dispatcher Console, headset and foot pedals. VoIP features of TRBOnet are used to talk to the fleet. Before SAMU had one radio per a dispatcher as shown on the image below. Now a dispatcher has a computer only.
