MOTOTRBO Firmware 1.6
The new R1.6a MOTOTORBO radios firmware, released on 1 April, 2010, offers new functions which allow improve digital radios’ functionality in different modes, such as:
Transmit Interrupt:
Voice Interrupt - Enables a radio partied to a call to interrupt (de-key) a voice transmission from another radio and initiate its own voice transmission within the same call.
Remote Voice De-key - Enables a (supervisor) radio to interrupt (de-key) a voice transmission from another radio and initiate a new call.
Emergency Voice Interrupt - Enables a radio to interrupt (de-key) all voice transmissions from another radios, clear down the calls and initiate its own emergency call.
Data over Voice Interrupt - Enables a 3rd party data application to interrupt (de-key) a voice transmission from another radio and initiate its own data.
Dynamic Mixed Mode (DMM)
- Allows MOTOTRBO radios in digital mode, MOTOTRBO radios in analogue mode and legacy analogue radios to key up on the same MOTOTRBO repeater channel.
Over the Air Activity Logging
- Enables a 3rd party application to monitor over air activity excluding voice / data payload using a mobile radio connected to PC.
There are also some improvements on Capacity Plus.
The MOTOTRBO CPS 5.3 software is required for operation of the new firmware.
All of these functions will be supported in the new TRBOnet Enterprise release.
